Our Scholars
Annually, the UTBCEF awards scholarships to some of the Upper Tampa Bay regions outstanding student leaders. Counselors and administrators from Alonso, East Lake, Leto and Sickles high schools are encouraged to recommend students who — while demonstrating leadership and solid academic achievement in the classroom — also demonstrate leadership at home and in their respective communities, while struggling to finance a college education.
The UTBCEF recognizes that there is a tremendous need among students who fall just outside that elite group of students and student-athletes who perennially receive the most attention from colleges and third-party scholarship organizations. We know that many of these high-achieving student leaders who lack the resources to fully fund a college education will go on to become community leaders as adults, if we give them a helping hand now. If, like us, you recognize this need too, we encourage you to contribute your time, talent and/or treasure to the UTBCEF, so we can continue to assist greater numbers of these deserving Upper Tampa Bay students.
